Having bred a few nice horses, as a hobby at her home at Copsem Farm, Esher, Surrey, Mrs Teresa Jane Lane, (Jane) fell for the TB stallion Cambridge Circus while visiting a friend's stud. She was lucky enough to aquire him and decided to Register the stud name Copsem. When she retired from her job as a Head Teacher and was widowed in 1991, she moved to live next door to her son at - Byhurst Farm, Leatherhead Road, Malden Rushett, Chessington, Surrey. KT9 2NL - taking with her the stallion Cambridge Circus, the Anglo mare Denchworth Crescent Moon, the Welsh Sec.D mare Goodfellows Fable and the young colt Copsem Cambridge Black.
Copsem Stud is now Registered in the names of the very experienced and gifted horse-woman Mrs Charlotte Adams-Lane - Mrs Lane's daughter-in-law- and Mrs T J Lane (Jane).
